| 이주에 관한 운세과자는 ‘세계 이주노동자의 날’을 기념하기 위한 것이다. 한국으로의 이주를 경험한 이들의 이야기를 듣다 보면 불행의 문을 통과하지 않는 것이 얼마나 중요한지 깨닫게 된다. 특히 ‘모든 이주노동자와 그 가족의 권리보호에 관한 국제협약’과 같은 아주 기본적인 권리가 확보되지 않은 상황에서 더더욱 불행의 문을 통과하지 않는 것은 중요한 일이다. 제도가 아니면 행운이라도!!! 이 ‘운’은 이주라는 것에서 좋은 친구를 만나는 것, 좋은 브로커를 만나는 것에서부터 좋은 사장을 만나는 것, 혹은 일하다 크게 다치지 않는 것, 단속을 당하지 않는 것에 이르기까지 여러 가지를 결정하는 것이 되어버린다. 기본적인 권리와 상황이 보장되지 않는 이 시점에서 이 과자는 이주와 관련된 이들의 행운을 빌어주기 위한 것이다. 또한 ‘세계이주노동자의 날’을 기념하면서, 가까이에 있는 이주노동자들의 이주 때문에 생긴 여러 상황들과 함께 작게나마 축하하기 위한 것이기도 하다. 우리 모두 행운과 축하를!!! 2008. 12. 믹스라이스 * 이주운세과자는 12월에 있는 ‘이주노동자의 날’을 기념하는 의미에서 만들어 졌습니다. 이 과자는 자신을 운세를 보는 것이 아니라 이주와 관련된 이들의 행운을 빌어주기 위한 것입니다. * 각기 다른 장소에서 나눠먹는 이주운세과자의 사진을 보내주십시오. 혹은 특별히 행운을 빌어줄 이주와 관련된 누군가의 이야기도 좋습니다. sweetcjke@empal.com *이주운세과자는 12월17부터 31일까지 테이크아웃드로잉과 더불어 예기치 않은 장소에서 만나실 수 있습니다. *이주과 관련된 분은 공짜, 아닌 분들은 700원, 수익금은 이주노동자 단체에 기부됩니다. 조기품절예상!!! 과자의 판매금은 여러 이주과 관련된 단체들에게 기부되었다. 사용된 곳 세계 이주민의 날 행사 2008. 12. 14 경희대학교 크라운관 앞 2008 세계 이주민의 날 맞이 연대마당 12. 14 민주노총 서울본부 1층 강당 |

| These fortune cookies were made to celebrate the International Migrant‘s Day. Stories of migrants who came to Korea tell us how precarious their living condition is without any basic rights secured for them. Under such situation, a personal luck or fortune seems to define their lives. When the system is so harsh, why not wishing for fortunes at least? Fortunes for migrant workers include many things; from meeting good friends, good brokers and good boss to avoiding injuries at work and escaping from police crackdowns. At this particular moment when even basic rights are not respected, we send the fortune cookies to wish a good luck to all migrants and to celebrate the International Migrant Workers' Day.
